This policy describes how BuZy.Chat (the website at buzy.chat) and the BuZy.Chat for Twitch Chrome extension handle information.

Single purpose

BuZy.Chat turns Twitch chat into a visual board. The browser extension’s only purpose is to open the Twitch channel you are viewing in BuZy.Chat.

Chrome extension

The extension:

• Reads the current Twitch channel name from the page URL when you use the toolbar icon or the in-page bee button.
• Opens https://buzy.chat/{channel} (or https://buzy.chat if no channel can be determined).
• Does not collect analytics, accounts, chat messages, or browsing history.
• Does not sell or share data with third parties.
• Uses the activeTab permission only to read the active tab URL after you click the extension icon.

After a BuZy.Chat tab opens, that visit is handled under the website practices below.

Website account and Twitch data

When you sign in with Twitch, we receive identity and token information needed to run the board (for example login, display name, user id, and OAuth access/refresh tokens for the scopes you approve). We store that account data in our database so you can stay signed in and use chat, badges, and moderation features you are allowed to use.

We do not sell your personal information. Twitch remains a separate service governed by Twitch’s privacy notice.

Website analytics

The BuZy.Chat website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. Google may process technical data such as IP address, device and browser information, and pages visited under Google’s privacy policy. The Chrome extension itself does not embed analytics.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. The board may also store preferences (such as pinned channels or UI settings) in your browser’s local storage on your device.

Data retention and security

Account and token data are kept while your account remains active so the service can function. We transmit data over HTTPS and limit access to server systems that need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your choices

• Log out of BuZy.Chat to end your session.
• Disconnect or revoke BuZy.Chat from your Twitch connection settings.
• Remove the Chrome extension from chrome://extensions at any time.
• Use browser controls to clear cookies and site data for buzy.chat.

Children

BuZy.Chat is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
